Kamarah S. Angus is a native of the Caribbean island of Jamaica, but having spent the majority of her life in Georgia, some consider her a “Southern Girl”. Her obsession for planning weddings and special events became evident at a very early age, as she served as an assistant for various events. As she got older, it was no surprise that she became the “go to” girl for coordinating life’s celebrations for those around her.

Whether a black tie affair for hundreds, a birthday bash for one of her siblings, or a vow renewal ceremony for over thirty couples, she was involved and enjoyed every flower, every vase, every detail!

After toying with the idea for some time, she opened The Event Revolution – Kalydaskope in 2009. Since that time, she has had the opportunity to learn from, work with, and be mentored by some of the top professionals in the special events industry.

Kamarah is a Certified Professional Wedding Planner and member New Wedding Planet, as well as an active member of the Georgia chapter of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), serving on the Advisory and Newsletter Committees. She is a Distinguished Graduate of the Professional Development Program offered by ABC. Not only has she obtained her Property and Casualty insurance license, which she uses to educate her clients on the importance of securing wedding and special event insurance, Kamarah is also a Certified Sandals Specialist and a Certified Mexico Specialist.

“The client may already be anxious about the event, so as the planner, I have to remain cool, calm, and collected, which reassures them that my staff and I have everything under control and allows them to relax and enjoy,” Kamarah explains. “Regardless of the situations that arise or the “fires” that may ignite, clients need to know that we are prepared to resolve any conflict and manage any chaos.” Clients are often captivated by her confidence, passion, adaptability, patience, and overall professionalism, which she exudes from the initial meeting to the exiting of the last guest. Her expertise and enthusiasm for weddings and special events truly shine through, as she works with her staff to create unique events and experiences for her clients.

Though she keeps busy with clients, she still makes time to give back to the community by being a Girl Scout troop leader and having served as the metro Atlanta City Coordinator for the nationally renowned Brides Against Breast Cancer organization. Kamarah currently resides in the suburbs of Atlanta and in her down time, enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, trying new recipes, and finding new things to do in Atlanta.
